Solar Lantern and Charger
Solar mobile charger and lantern. This camping lantern expands like an accordion so it can light up the inside of a tent or illuminate a campsite. This folds down to a small shape about as big as a hockey puck. Very useful and very bright! SUAOKI Led Camping Lantern Lights $16.95
This hammock arrived in a small box, with each component in its own little stuff sack. The unit comes with straps to attach it to two trees, and it’s a comfy place to bed down or just take a snooze. Very lightweight. Wise Owl Outfitters Camping Hammock $61.45

A Really, REALLY, Big Towel
The Monster Towel is a ten foot by ten-foot beach towel. Really. It’s made of microfiber material that’s thin and light and easily shakes off the sand at the beach. This would be a perfect ground cloth if you want something nicer and smoother than a plastic tarp. And it’s sure big! Monster Towel The Worlds Biggest Towel. $89
A Very Big Portable Speaker
This weather-resistant behemoth dwarfs any other portable speaker we’ve ever tested, a whopping 18″ tall. With the same Bluetooth connectivity and charging set up as its tiny brethren, this baby is ready for a big party. The built in battery lasts for a shocking ten hours of playing time.
Soundcast VG5 Super Speaker Soundcast VG5 Portable Weather-Resistant Bluetooth Loudspeaker (Black) $449.00
Car Trunk Organizer
I’ve recently begun using these lightweight caddies for clothes storage, instead of bureau drawers. I like the flexibility and being able to move things around.
The same is true for these clever collapsible canvas totes, they can be used in the back of your car for storage…or you can bring these lightweight caddies into the store and bring them out full of groceries. Save paper, make it easier! SnapBasket Trunk Caddy collapsible modular organizer and tote. CleverMade 45L SnapBasket TrunkCaddy , 2-Pack $34.00 for two.
Airplane Blindfold with a Twist
The SeatDreamzzz Sleeping Mask is a very deluxe blindfold you can use for your next airplane trip, and it combines two principals. One, if you are going to get any sleep on a plane, you’ve gotta keep your neck straight.
The Seat Dreamzzz has a strap that goes around the airplane seat’s headrest, anchoring your noggin and putting on that blindfold to allow you to fall asleep. Despite these claims, when I tested this out on a recent flight to London, it was not possible to get it to fit around the Boeing 787’s seatback, and so I couldn’t use it. Others may have a different experience but for me, it was not good. Eliminate the head-bob!?
Look Ma! No Wires on my Headphones
You probably have embraced the Bluetooth headphone thing by now, right? Maybe you finally upgraded to one of the newer iPhones and found that after the 6S iPhone model, there’s no going back, Jack. Now those wired ‘RCA plug’ headphones won’t help you at all.
It’s time for a good pair of wireless earbuds, and here’s a good contender from Soul. The Emotion high performance ‘true Wireless Experience’ earbuds.. Wireless Earbuds, Soul Electronics Emotion Superior High Performance True Wireless Earphone. $49.00
