The number of psychedelic retreats is getting higher!

Though some may think the purpose of these drug-based trips is to take mushrooms and get high, many of the retreats center around helping people find new meaning in their lives and implement new practices that will benefit them.

The Journeymen Collective offers psychedelic retreats focusing on helping people reach spiritual breakthroughs.

In fact, the Journeymen Collective does not think of their services as “retreats” but instead calls it a “continuation of your life’s journey.”

Meanwhile, another tour operator, The Eleusinia Experience offers neuro-science-focused retreats designed to help their clients understand every part of psilocybin, including how and where people grow it.

History of The Journeymen Collective

Founders of the company, Rob Grover and Gary Logan, created The Journeymen Collective in the hopes of helping people find their calling in life. Logan explained after the passing of Grover’s mother, both men sought out to experience psilocybin.

Afterward, Grover explained he and Logan felt a deeper calling “to help people in a very high-level way so that they could actually find their purpose and their passion.”

They created The Journeymen Collective as a result formulated services geared toward empowering entrepreneurs and other professionals to take new strides in their lives and careers through spiritual experiences.

According to Logan, the experience with the Journeymen Collective helps customers express their feelings, making their services the opposite of a vacation.

Logan described one’s journey with the company as people discovering “deeper aspects of self through an educational, experiential process, in the journey of their life.”

The Journeymen Experience

With the Journeymen Collective, participants can choose to endeavor this opportunity on their own through a solo journey, with a significant other through the Power Partners program, or with three to four colleagues through the Bespoke Group program.

The program offers a mix of in-person and online support, and the in-person portion in British Columbia lasts four days.

Grover explained that everything during the Journeymen Collective experience centers around two ceremonies with magic mushrooms.

Leading up to the ceremonies, participants engage in online and in-person research and preparation for the experiences they might have while taking the magic mushrooms.

Grover called the ceremonies “a very sacred process” and explained customers need “a high level of respect coming into this so that we can guide you and help you garner the most from this experience.”

After the ceremonies, the participants engage in many discussions at meal tables filled with vegetarian options and reflections to further grow from the experience. Other activities customers can participate in include hiking, using a hot tub, “adult naptime.” and journaling.

Participants also create their own vision videos, a new version of vision boards, prior to their in-person portion of The Journeymen Collective. Customers use their vision boards to lay out their goals before, during, and after their experience with psychedelics.

What to Know Before Your Experience

Everyone has different experiences with magic mushrooms. In fact, Grover and Logan explained some people need one experience with magic mushrooms to find their life’s purpose while others pursue several tries.

Retreats with the Journeymen Collective are invite-only and prospective customers must apply for an invitation and schedule a call with Grover and Logan to determine if they are ready to take on the spiritual journey.

Once clients have established a mutually beneficial relationship with the company where Grover and Logan feel they can help the person, the company moves forward by extending an invitation.

Former retreat attendees have described the experience as “deeply profound and transformational.” According to their website, CEOs have found their “business flourishing!…life is flowing!”

Retreats with The Journeymen Collective last anywhere from 6 weeks-18 months and Logan and Grover describe most participants feel like their family after their time with the company has ended.

The Eleusinia Experience

Eleusinia targets those wanting a scientific experience with their psilocybin and other plant-based drugs by advertising plant medicine sessions and neuroscience education in addition to the spiritual aspects of the magic mushrooms.

All of the company’s practices on the retreat center around research-based practices and they target patients seeking help with mental health, consciousness expansion, and pain management.

Jessica Khurana founded the Eleusinia Experience after finding relief from a headache condition while using plant medicine. She centers her retreats in Valle De Bravo, Mexico, and offers customers on the retreat unforgettable experiences.
