No More Worries in a New Country, Meet Your Guide & Friend For Vacation With GreetHer!
By Christy Bogan
If you are a woman, looking to travel out of the country, check out GreetHer.
Whether you’re going on an adventure alone or with friends, this new service for women travelers called GreetHer is able to provide you with a greeter who will show you a variety of locations.
These verified locals–all women– will show you the best their country has to offer, both classic tourist spots as well as popular local spots. It’s always helpful to have a translator if needed while on your vacation; it’s a new friend and a tour guide all in one!
GoNOMAD spoke with Estephani Espindola, a GreetHer Public Relations & Communications staffer.
“Every time a traveler books a Greeter through us, not only are they getting a unique and authentic experience for themselves, but they are also supporting a woman’s economy through sustainable tourism as most of the money you pay for our services goes directly to them”
Going on a trip with friends, alone, or with family, check out to see if a greeter is available at your destination because they can offer great advice for where to go.
They Make Sure You’re Safe
The people who work for GreetHer are determined to make sure you have a safe and fun adventure, so through their company, they believe it is possible.
By getting a greeter through their site, you are directly supporting the women who will show you around. This company is made by women, for women, in support of women.

Getting Your Greeter
When you decide where you’re going, it’s time to pick out your greeter!
Estephani told us, “Throughout the booking process, the travelers pick an amount of time they want their Greeter for, the meetup spot, and share a description of what interests them the most about their visit to that destination.”
Once you’re paired up with your greeter, there isn’t much else that needs to happen besides waiting until the two of you meet at your destination. The two of you will plan out how long you’ll spend the trip together, where you will go, and if you have any requests for what you want to see.
GreetHer has created a company that is focused on keeping you safe as well as ensuring you have a great time on your adventure.

The company is also working on having women-guided tours in a few countries. They have no announced yet what the tours will be like or where they are, but it is absolutely something to be looking forward to.
