These Women-Only Travel Groups Plan Trips with Women in Mind

Women-only travel has become all the rage in recent years. Wives, mothers, singles, divorcees, and widows are all finding value in traveling in the safety of a same-sex group while finding camaraderie amongst like-minded travelers. Women-only tours rock!

Whether you’re hiking to Machu Pichu, taking a cooking class in Delhi, or birdwatching in Costa Rica, women-only group tours can offer instant friendships and dinner parties on the road while you are led by experts on the region.

A lot of large tour companies are adding women-only offerings to take advantage of this new trend, but here’s a list of pioneers in the field, companies run by and for women.

And of course, you can connect with other female travelers these days through forums and online communities, like Solo Female Travelers on Facebook (group of 128,000 + women who travel solo).

There are different reasons that women decide to go on a trip separate from men, but for every reason, there are many enthusiasts.

There is something that many people realize later in life, that the company of the same sex can provide more sustainable bonds than if you only mingle with your proper spouse.

Women say they can be more honest, be themselves when they are with only women. For a myriad of reasons, here are what we consider the top travel companies for women, including mine.
