Summer Travel Gear You’ll Want to Own

Summer time is beach time!  Here are some great products we’ve just received that we’ll be taking with us to the beach, and on vacation. We’re also including a few items for photography and general travel use. If you have a product you’d like us to review, contact us!

Blast your summer tunes, and bring this Speaker in the Water!

Ecoxgear Ecocarbon Bluetooth Waterproof Speaker (blue)

I have tested dozens of these speakers, and this one has stood up and performed well. Not sure why, but many bluetooth speakers at some point no longer connect to your phone. This one has been solid.

The only downside is that this sturdy, waterproof speaker has a bunch of LED lights up on top and on the side, and even when it’s off, they still glow green. Annoying if you’re trying to sleep. But the sound is first rate, and this is a good value at only $109.

Carry Your Beach Gear with Style

Fivesse Beach Backpack Stripe

What a stylish and pretty bag to bring to the beach!  This high quality canvas bag has drawstrings and a jaunty nautical motif, we love it and used it to go to Tanglewood Music center as well as Cape Cod. A keeper for sure!  $39.97

Play or Listen to Music Like Bob Marley Did

These are bit big to use as jogging headphones, but the sound is clear and the quality of the manufacture first rate. And they’re still not even half the cost of Dr Dre Beats.  They even have wooden insets that give them an old timey feel.

The house of Marley has all sorts of products being launched, including a line of marijuana where it’s legal.  Bob might indeed have died in 1983, but his legacy and the many products with his name, and all the songs on the radio, keep him very much alive. $109.99

Flextail light pump

Big Blow from a Tiny Package

This little pump is only about 3″ high but puts out an impressive amount of air. If you are traveling with an innertube, as we were last week when we visited Ogunquit, Maine, this would be a great item to pack along.

Instead of turning purple blowing up that raft, or that innertube, use this device and get it blown up quickly. It’s now an Indiegogo project, so click the link below for more information about the Flextail light pump. $19.95

Spin Your Big Ole DSLR Camera Like a Pro

Sun Sniper Rotaball Pro is a device that you can attach to a heavy DSLR that allows it to swing freely when you’re out on the run shooting photos, leaving your hands free.

It’s a solid, German-designed safety belt that will take a lot of weight off your shoulders with its free swing. It comes with a shoulder pad and works for right and left handed photographers. $89.00

A Great Stand to Put Your iPhone on for FaceTime!

Stanley – The Flexible Leather Phone Stand (Lime) This neat little stand eliminates one of the classic “First World Problems” we all face. What to do with your iPhone when you’re on a Facetime chat.

This is a beautifully made stand, with leather all around that comes in a whole bunch of groovy colors like brown, red, black, grey and pictured–lime.  When my partner Mary saw this, she said “I want that!” and so it’s a keeper.  I can’t tell you how often I’ve wished my regular Facetime friend Paul would buy one of these–he always moves the phone and it’s crazy annoying.  Here’s the answer!  $49.99
