Madeira Island Airfare and Hotel Package

Many forget that Madeira Island offers much more than its wine. Madeira has a warm and clear temperature of 70 degrees in the winter. The island is surrounded by volcanic cliffs that rise dramatically from the sea.

Azores Express/SATA wants to reintroduce Americans to this island with newly reduced prices on their air and hotel packages. This fall and winter, Azores Express/SATA will be offering six-night packages from Boston Logan Airport to the capital city of Funchal via the Azores or Lisbon. The package will include round trip, air, hotel, and breakfast.

Prices will start at $849 per person, before taxes and fees, which is a $300 discount from last year’s packages.

Flights depart and return on Tuesdays and Fridays. All packages offer a choice of seven hotels and include breakfast. Kids under six can stay for free and pay only a child’s airfare.

New this year, is the Ajuda Madeira Hotel. It is a four-star resort set in Funchal, just above the seaside Promendade and less than two miles from the city center. It has 91 rooms that feature a balcony with sea views. It also includes a restaurant, bar, adults and children’s heated outdoor swimming pools, sauna, jacuzzi, steam bath, massage, laundry service, game rooms, private parking and complimentary shuttle to and from the city center.

The other hotels in the package are 4 and 5-star ranked and include the Alto Lido, Cliff Bay, Madeira Regency, Tivoli Madeira, Baia Azul, and the new CS Madeira. All offer seaside views, outdoor saltwater pools and full resort faculties.

Visitors are drawn to Madeira for its natural beauty and the old world charm of its seaside towns. Visitors find entertainment in a number of activities besides just the resorts and ocean. Visitors participate in golf, hiking, deep sea fishing and diving.

Azores Express has connected New England with Portugal for more than 20 years. Today it offers direct flights on wide body A310 aircraft to Sao Miguel, the main island in the Azores archipelago.
