Tasty Ideas for a Holiday Season at Home
Although we might not be celebrating these holidays with our loved ones and distant relatives, we still want to have the best food and drink in our small gatherings this pandemic holiday season. Here are some recommendations for tasty, fine quality eats, and some interesting gadgets for your Holiday cooking, too.
Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Turkey
A unique aspect behind of Oleavia Organic EVOO’s is that the olives are sourced from a single farm and are never combined with oils from a different land or region. The trees where these olives are collected are at least a hundred years old, and conserving the land is their promise.
During production, they only follow organic practices and never use any chemicals, toxic pesticides or fertilizers.
Early Harvest Organic EVOO Oleavia Savrandere Early Harvest is an organic monovarietal extra virgin olive oil made in Turkey, from the Memecik cultivar of olives, that won a Gold Award in the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world’s largest and most prestigious olive oil contest.
This is the good stuff!
Wilde makes a large range of chips that are made from thinly-sliced chicken breast paired with a wide and wild assortment of flavors: Nashville Hot Chicken, Chicken and Waffles, Jalapeno Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, Sea salt and Vinegar Chicken, and even Himilayan Pink Salt Chicken chips.
The Colorado company promises that the chicken is all organic, and these chips provide 10 grams of protein per serving. That’s something a potato chip can’t boast!
The thing about these chips is that protein has a lot stronger taste than potatoes, so when you bite into these you get a whole lot more. It’s somewhat disconcerting, and hard to explain. The Chicken and Waffles chips are way too sweet for my tastes and the rest I’d describe as ‘interesting, and different.” A few of these chips goes a long way.

Whenever Bars: I’m Eating One Right Now!
I like to pack a few snacks when I leave my house and set out for my co-working space office. And one item I’ve been enjoying are Whenever Bars, made by Pamela’s.
They are, wheat-free, gluten-free, non-Dairy with no artificial ingredients, yet they taste great! There is a real Pamela behind these healthy snacks, and I salute her for creating very tasty bars that hit the spot!
Flavors include cranberry almond, oat chocolate chip, oat peanut butter chocolate chip and raisin walnut spice.
The Sauce Boss: Easier Clean up and Better Mixing
There are many bosses of sauce to be found on the interwebs, but this one is a keeper. I’ve been a sauce maker for years, and this solves a common problem, how to get the sauce mixed properly. Put the ingredients into this jar and let the ball pop around and mix it all up.

“Safe Catch Tuna” in Convenient Foil Instead of Cans
Foil packs are a much easier way to enjoy this high protein sandwich ingredient or the center of any casserole. I am as much of a fan of a good old Tuna melt as the next guy and as a food product, these packages are more convenient than the old can.
But the National Fisheries Institute argues convincingly that creating a product that implies that regular tuna is not safe, compared to this brand, is a false narrative.
No tuna that is sold in the U.S. exceeds the minimum of mercury in the tuna–so this brand is no safer than anything you can buy in a can. The NFI argues that by putting the threat of mercury poisoning from tuna out there you just end up having fewer people eat fish, which in the long run is not good.
Safe Catch tuna $2.49/ 3 oz
