One Last Diversion before I set to Write the Spiti Account

Sunset at Komik, Spiti, Himachal Pradesh, India

Afterreading so much on photography forums about sunrise and sunset being ideal times for photography, I was very keen to utilize that time for clicking at least a few pictures. The picture above is from the second day of our trek. I was quite tired and Komik was anyway the highest village on the trek. But come sunset, and I ran with my camera to a place nearby from where many peaks were visible. It required a small steep walk but I did manage to do it. And when Dilip (my nephew) say these pictures on the camera diplay, he was like oh! what a glorious sunset!

PS. Sorry for still not being able to write the concrete account, actually I have a lot of stories to share but I wonder where all my time is going!

Not Good Technically But I Love the Picture Now

Sunset at Khurpatal

We were coming back from Nanital to Khurpatal in December 2006 (this was a college trip) when I noticed this glorious sunset and took the picture (Nikon Coolpix 3200) from a moving jeep.

Obviously, at that point of time the actual scene was crystal clear in my mind and I was pretty disappointed with the picture. But now after 3-4 months, this picture reminds me of the actual sunset and I am much more forgiving about its technical flaws (don't ask me what they are, I just know this one looks flawed).

PS. A damn busy week ahead (even till now it has been very hectic). Not sure how much I would be able to blog, worst still, I have not been able to read much (blogs or otherwise).

Sair Kar Duniya Ki Galib ...

Sunset at Kedar Kanta, Har-Ki-Doon Trek

Changla Pass, On the Way to the Pangong Lake, Ladakh

Sair kar duniya ki galib, yeh zindagani phir kahan

zingagani gar rahi tou , naujawani phir kaha.....

Rough translation of the Galib's Couplet

Lets explore this world while we can, Who knows how long we may live
And even if we are alive, how long are we going to remain young ...

I know it gets lost in translation.

Anyone else willing to try a hand at the translation?

I can Understand Why Bangalore was Called the Garden City

I have been for a few days in Bangalore and I clicked all the lovely flowers, a few coconut trees and a faboulous sunset around the housing complex I am staying. It has been raining on and often and flowers seem to just grow out of their own free will.

Though Bangalore in general has been changing , so much traffic, narrow roads, pollution and washed away roads are the things that we had to negotiate if we went out of the house. I have uploaded a few of my pretty photographs only.
