Ayurvedic Davakhana- A Very Common Roadside Site

Naya Jeevan Ayurvedic Davakhana- New Life Ayurvedic Medicine

I have often been quite curious about the road side medicine shops. I wonder what type of medicine they practice. And of course at another level it is quite sad that this could be a place to dispense medicine.

they claim to cure each and every disease, though they can't spell it correctly...

They are nomad but with a project I think so. Will meet someday to inquire.

To satisfy your curiosity just visit any one them at least once. Then there would be no requirement of speculation with people who might have never entered these tents about what can they really serve :D

Having said that, As a kid, whenever i saw these tents my emotions ranged from thrill of seeing a claim of panacea of all diseases to confusion of their way of diagnosis.

Never understood the meaning of 'Naadi' till my teens.

PS: I have also never entered them.

Ajeya nor do I know, the look doesn't inspire trust!

You are right Shrinidhi.

Hobo, do so! And do write about it.

Tarun, I am actually quite a timid person when not behind my camera! I don't think I would go there alone!

Namita that sounds like the crux of the matter!

They sell 'herbal' stuff, but the focus is mainly on chronic problems, infertility and impotence.

VS, yes maybe demand and supply once again? Or expectation of a miracle?
