About Me
I started 'Travel Tales from India' my India Travel Blog quite reluctantly. But it has become an anchor for my writing now. I use this blog to write 'off topic' stuff too. I have two passions, to travel in India (mostly) and then talk about it. My second passion is reading. My India travel blog was once linked at BBC and The Guardian. All my stories published at Gonomad can be viewed from this writer profile page. Interested in more India Travel Blogs?

heheh this is nothing :) You should see girls in Pune.. all of them cover their faces.. it's scary
sometime face is also covered to protect identity
It would be so much better if the helmet rule for pillions is forced too. That will mean actual protection
Not only in Gurgaon even in Nagpur also I have seen the girls cover fully and only eyes can be seen. Though helmet is compulsory but people do not use it.
its common site in all tier 2/3 cities. i have noticed in Pune/Indore/Bhopal, seen in other cities (Blore/Hbad) as well but not that common.
specially Girls do so to protect their face from dust and sun. saves them from getting darker.
oh my my... pollution is covering up everyone and everywhere..
Doli :D
Shrinidhi, I wonder if this was the case, these were two girls riding a scooty but then what do I know!
I entirely agree with you Sangfroid, not riding with a helmet is scary.
Babli, I think the for pillion rider it is not compulsory in some places but I might be wrong.
Nilesh many of us are already dark, thank god for that :D
Rocksea, that is true, it indeed gets quite polluted.
As a kid I had always associated covered faces as those of dacoits and terrorist :)...hopefully they were not in this case
Tarun I think these were very harmless young girls trying to deal with pollution :D
