The Seven Sisters Waterfall, North Sikkim

No clue why it is called the Seven Sisters Waterfall. Searched for the same and yet found no answers.

The possibilities:

1. The accompanying waterfalls appear only during a particular season.

2. The local name is different. I could not find the name on the Sikkim Govt. tourism website. Maybe its arecent name given by tour operators.

3. The accompanying waterfalls are far apart. Try reducing the size of the picture on Wikimaps (http://wikimapia.org/13121774/Seven-Sisters-Waterfall-Sikkim)

I vaguely remember while studying in school that the seven sisters were the seven North Eastern states of India - Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura. Here is the link in wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Sister_States
