About Me
I started 'Travel Tales from India' my India Travel Blog quite reluctantly. But it has become an anchor for my writing now. I use this blog to write 'off topic' stuff too. I have two passions, to travel in India (mostly) and then talk about it. My second passion is reading. My India travel blog was once linked at BBC and The Guardian. All my stories published at Gonomad can be viewed from this writer profile page. Interested in more India Travel Blogs?

Which bird? Wasn't that bird around..
Even birds know the ways to protect egg.
God is Great !!!
It is fun to watch how protective birds get around their eggs. We had pigeons lay eggs on our balcony and they would not leave them alone for weeks until they hatched and the little ones were big enough to fly.
Contrary to what Gurgaon is made to appear - A concrete jungle. I see the real jungle (read green) also at many of my friends' staying there.
You too seem to have a nice habitat :-) What bird, any idea ?
wowww....cheers...mridula
i tried to look at a crow nest in chennai and they were so violent...with me...had to literally run for my head..
Tarun it is Dove's nest.
Hobo :D
Vamsee this one is also a Dove's nest but at times it is empty. When I come back in the evening I often take a peek from far away to see if everything is alright and sure enough the dove was there in the nest
Sangfroid it is a Dove and yes the area we stay in is little green.
Ramesh :D fortunately Doves are more gentle!
How cute. Hope you have a picture of baby chicks soon.
I too hope so Bindu.
I see that the eggs are quite big than the usual ones
this doves' nest seems neat. doves are usually the laziest nest-builders. are these jungle doves or the common ones?
Megha I think that is the camera angle only. It is a small egg otherwise.
Rocksea, the common dove.
We have tree frogs that live around our front door and each night they come out to eat insects in the light.
I love watching them. I like having a little daily contact with another species and I feel very protective of them.
Thanks for sharing Kelly.
