Some Flowers, Some Shops, Gandhi Bazaar (Market)- Bangalore

Purple Flowers, Gandhi *Bazaar (Market)- Bangalore

As soon as I got down from the auto, I saw these flowers hanging from a shop. An old lady was sitting there and she just let me click the picture in peace. As I can load pictures from my mobile, that is what I used today.

Beetle Nut at a Shop in Gandhi Bazaar (Market), Bangalore

Had to make this picture soft focus because it has not come out really well. So I hope the soft focus is hiding some of the flaws!

Coconut Tree, Bangalore

I for the first time realized that if you look high up towards a coconut tree, you would find the tree having a round symmetrical center! Have you noticed that before?

A Small Corner Shop at Gandhi Bazaar (Market)

There was so much stuff inside the shop, much of it related to worship. Made for a colorful picture for sure.

And while you see these pictures, I am actually in Mangalore, I did this as an auto post.

Have a wonderful 2009, and travel more.

*Added Bazaar for Market after the anonymous comment pointed out that it is known as Gandhi Bazaar only.

Marvellous photos. Those spices reminded me at the market in Mysore – amazing colours, all neatly sculpted into this conical heaps – and I was too shy to ask permition to make a picture! Ah gee!

Fida, in India it is safe to click things.

Even people do not object too much but I also try to ask permission before clicking people, so hardly any portraits at my blog. But this time I was twice asked by people to take their pictures and I gladly did so.

I was looking for a particular purple flower in my garden when the pic caught my eye, all covered in purple I just had to get a larger view, a closer view, and when I did I was in awe! Thanks for sharing your visit to the Ghandi Bazaar! Phenominal! Makes me want to go there before I die!

Same, out of respect, in Jamaica, we were told to ask to take fotos beforehand. I did and sometimes not, it didnt seem to bother anyone bc we made friends first. : )

oh, and I loved the close up of the spice berries. I love shots like these, very cultural and textural too! Great to blow up, matt and frame for your wall.
That's what Id do!
