Some Say this Post Office at Hikkim is the Highest Post Office in the World

Post Office at Hikkim, Is it the Highest in the World?

Some say the post office at Hikkim is the highest in the world. Vistet, what do you say? After all, when I tried writing about what I thought was the highest ATM it was you who corrected me.

PS. OK, Sesha took this photo.

PS1. These days, either I put pictures and write a few words or let this blog come to a stand still. I somehow feel till I find more time, I will let this blog become a photoblog :(

This should be higher than the ATM´s in Nakchu , at 4500 meters , But I think you are on to something even better : it seems a fair guess that the post office also is the polling station I saw mentioned in an article.

Democracy ... China can´t win there.

Vistet, thank you for letting me know. Are you back from Spiti? How was your trip?

Maverick, I think everyone gets it. Sesha got it real bad at Langza in this trip along with vomiting. Altitude needs to be treated with a lot of respect.

Back ...? Actually I was on my way ask you some questions on how you organised your trip - leaving Sweden for India in two weeks time.
Signs of impatience start to become apparent to me , tonic is a poor substitute for nimbu pani..

VJ, I think I am more attached to my blog! And for me there are phases when I get too busy and when I have some slack. Let us see how long can I manage. But I have not even thought of giving up. And good to see you here again.

Vistet, do send your questions my way, I will try my best to answer. But then I think you already know a lot about India.

Deepak, unfortunately I did not click the petrol pump even though our bus stopped there to refuel. I was so tried by then. And when are you going to write about your Leh trip?

Funny thing about that place was, when I was there I talked to one guy who was working over there and he told me "Its world highest Public Petrol pump" army operates many petrol pump above Kaza.

Oh sorry, now I am so messed up with things around me. Hopefully in a week or two I'll write at least one travelogue about my recent trip to Leh.
