Off Topic: Comments on IITK Days
Remember I have an abandoned blog named IITK (PG) Days? Long back I wrote about how I found a baby lizard in my omelet. Well, I have not updated that blog in ages. And now it seems some IITK (Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur) junta have discovered it. I can see hits coming from some IITK newsgroup. I thought I have put enough distance between me and my IITK Ph.D. days. But some of the comments left today remind me the kind of assumptions that can be made.
1. Nit pick when irritated on English language (I didn't do my Ph.D. in English :)
2. Assume women can't manage their affairs even without checking how ancient the blogpost is (It has been a long time I left IITK).
3. Use four letter words and show how manly you are!
4. Accuse people of lying :)
Get a life guys.

hmm.. interesting.
Those IITK guys got all senti! But a yucky mess is fashionable! I am proud of my Engr mess which served rotten, cold food to us day after day. Even today we discuss the various monstrosities in much detailed relish ;D
You know I remember that lizard in the omelet post.
Lot of MCPs around eh? Sad indeed. Just let it roll off you.

Apurva (Madhat) what did you find interesting :)
Smita, I agree they all got senti :) And over such an old blogpost!
Well said Sanjay, I am letting it go.
Well, they perhaps got a bit too defensive, but on the other hand, it might be a nice thing if we view it as pride in their alma-mater.
Sigma, using four letter words and saying that someone is lying seems juvenile and not pride to me :)
I remember during my engineering, a guy used to pick those small things from Chhole on Sunday lunch and relish. It was so much fun!
Grrr! Yuck yuck, Osgeek.
Er...studying at an IIT or an IIM can cause a certain amount of air to enter some people's brains, I've found out, much to my chagrin, at times. This can cause their heads to float a few inches above those of most people, if you know what I mean.
;)
You're not one of them, of course.
:D
Sidhu, I very well know what you mean!
