I am Back!

Sunset at Rumbak, Ladakh (2005)

However, not with a travel pst. But now that I have time (see Emma's post on this one) to let my mind wander, they will follow. Though, I can always share a travel photograph. Talking about photographs, that stupid SLR is still in repair. They have to order a part from Singapore (and obviously charge me heaven and earth) I oly hope I will get it before I head to Himanchal Pradesh for a short break soon.

Meanwhile, I am spending the weekend at my sister's place. My sister and I have this old habit of feasting at midnight on Maggie. Yesterday we had a new addition to the party, Vasu (my nearly two year old niece). She had her stuff without spice in a small plate. But then she knew it was not authentic. She had to try the grown up stuff. After taking a small quanity and finding it too much she put out her tongue to be patted my sister and only then she took some water!

And about our old song routine, now when I ask her Ho naa, she shouts 'Maasi' (aunt) instead of Hun Tou. And she still keeps the US hours. We played till 5 in the morning!

I feel sorry for your camera .infact ,I've realized the canon service at Delhi is horrendous and they charge exorbitantly whether it is in warranty or not .My friend had a canon IXUS 55 purchased from Thailand and the it has a crack in screen ,though the camera was functional.the repair would have cost us almost 3/4 the price of camera with no further warranty. After an extensive search on net ,i found DASS Electronics at Lajpat Nagar who gave us a good price and we traded it off for new camera at an exchange price .Iam planning to get my first SLR (a Canon REBEL XT) from US as photography bug has hit me big time ,but my mind shudders at the thought of ever going to a repair shop here. Hope you get your back in time

Pijush, thank you.

Cuckoo and Prashanth, thanks.

Apu it is kind of you to say so.

Rcon, thanks a lot for your encouraging words.

Ajeya, I hope you had a wondeful vacation. Now it is my turn to proceed on one.

Yes Pooja :))))

Monts, I think I will get mine back!

Madhukar, thanks a lot for stopping by.

VJ, good to hear from you. Some people say Nikon SLRs are more intutive. But I guess you must have done your research by now.

Emma, you are most welcome :) That post touched a cord, as I was myself going through 'I am so busy' phase.

Sigma, the camera is working once again but it cost me some pretty money!

Sidhu, I could use the camera on my recent trip to the Prashar Lake. The landscapes are so beautiful sometimes that it just does not matter which camera you use. Ladakh is one such place.
