Not Good Technically But I Love the Picture Now
Sunset at KhurpatalWe were coming back from Nanital to Khurpatal in December 2006 (this was a college trip) when I noticed this glorious sunset and took the picture (Nikon Coolpix 3200) from a moving jeep.
Obviously, at that point of time the actual scene was crystal clear in my mind and I was pretty disappointed with the picture. But now after 3-4 months, this picture reminds me of the actual sunset and I am much more forgiving about its technical flaws (don't ask me what they are, I just know this one looks flawed).
PS. A damn busy week ahead (even till now it has been very hectic). Not sure how much I would be able to blog, worst still, I have not been able to read much (blogs or otherwise).

Ok so you like the photo for the purpose that it is for - visual journal of your memories. Screw the flaws then, its a nice photo:)
But yeah, it doesn't make any sense to me... hehehe. The bright lights are that of some vehicle? I can see a band of spectrum... Actually the picture is puzzling. I wonder how you took it !
PS: Thanks for the linkback. I feel like an elite reader!
The picture is blurred. BTW There has been a change in my URl .. .NOTE it :)
Priyank, thanks a lot for putting things in perspective. I was sitting in the front seat of a Tata Sumo and took this one through the windshield. The spectrum is the color of the sunset but now that I think of it, I can't explain the bright light, must be the headlights reflecting somewhere. And about the linkback, the pleasure is mine :)
Viewer, I will surely note the change in the URL. And you are right about the picture. But what to do, by the time we reached our destination and I had a chance to take a better picture, it was dark.
Mridula, the best thing is that your memories are attached with this. But as a fotograph this is nothing but your trial to just point and shoot any particular bright source of light. These days they are talking too much about the abstract art (now photo graphy also), camera toss and camera swings. I have also tried this and got this (http://www.flickr.com/photos/karnail/435204616/).
It looks like one of those paintings that I can't seem to understand at all and which others claim to be masterpieces of modern art!
:D
