Grinding Wheel






The structure in the picture houses a water based grinding wheel at Shringi Vatika. When they release the water, it is fun to watch the wheels turning, a silly video but still I thought I will share.

Your posts reminded me of my trip back there in 2005. I stayed for a day at Shringi Vatika.... You must hav enjoyed ur stay there..

Interesting - but I couldn't make out where the water was hitting the wheel ?

Pooja, the water did not come inside the room, it hit something somewhere else, don't know exactly. Thanks for the link.

The same mechanism can and is used for producing electricity on a small scale, in Himachal Pradesh.
