Drinking and Driving do not Mix Well, More so in the Hills
A Car that Crashed from the Road above on the Shringi Vatika (Himanchal Pradesh) PremisesApparently it was a case of drunk driving. Happened a few months back. Out of five only one person survided, he was probably born under a lucky star, he got stuck in some bushes and lived. We were walking along the road from where the car fell and the road was not that narrow and the bend not that steep. I wonder why do people take such chances?

Oh, that looks so horrible!
It was horrible no doubt Teri.
You are back...from another trip to the mountains - wow ! I must try and make it to the mountains next time I am in India. Waiting for you trip account now.
That accident does look bad.
Pooja, if you can go to Ladakh, it still remains my hot favorite.
The accident really was bad, thankfully you do not see too many like this in the hills.
Drunken driving = Heights of stupidity!!
Killing themselves and killing others!!
I remember the place (shringi vatika) very clearly .... the room was a small-wooden one, had a mirror, and had large glass windows... i think two sides of the room were all glass windows.. the windows were openable and i used to sit on my bed with the windows open - in the afternoons after I had walked towards Shoja, and was tired & breathing heavy - and would gulp on the fresh air that came in..
about the van... it's an eyesore
I wonder why people consume alchohol at all. I see no valid reason for doing that. So, I don't, except for the few drops that form part of homeopathic medicines.
Prashanth, you are absolutely right.
Manu, you remember all that very correctly :) And to me that car there was more than an eyesore, it is a little scary.
Sidhu, we also use a lot of homeopathic medicines :) The alcohol content in it is a joke :)
