Don't be Jealous, Just Travel!
Two people, Pooja and Sathish left comments on my previous post, saying they are jealous or almost jealous that I get to travel and trek. Ah! let me show you the reality of my 340 days and you will not grudge my travels at all :)

OK, there are a few trees in the view but still it is so harsh and so much dust and heat during summer. This is a view that greets me daily from my office.
After watching all this concrete throughout the year, little wonder that at the first opportunity...

And a little bit of this too. A few more days in the concrete jungle and then we head once again to the mountains. So Pooja and Sathish, are you still jealous?

that looks like gurgaon i guess...
but the last pic is really beautiful.
Ok Mridula. I give it to you. You have every right to travel :-) I know Gurgaon is a concrete jungle. There are hardly any trees around.
I just like your travel accounts so much that I want to reach there myself...hence the good-humored, well-meant jealousy
Rightly said Mridula..
I have decided to travel atleast once a month - kinda mid-year resolution ;)
nice resolution Prashanth ! I guess it will take some more time for us as a society to reach the point where we will be comfortable with taking a couple of years off to travel :).
Thanks to Mridula and her ilk, we are waking up to life.
beautiful pics...great scenery!!
you made me realize i'm not surrounded by concrete. I've got beautiful country all around ME to explore.
I would like to veiw those mountains in the fresh air, tho. :)
i'm still jealous...
but i understand your meaning. as always, your photos are spectacular.
i lived in gurgaon over 15 years ago, when it was still a "gaon", sort of. we lived opposite a dairy farm beyond which was just scrubland and more farms. i guess its different now........
i live also in concrete jungle but in the south...
i of course do travel a lot...
am jealous not of the travel but of the beautiful pics of the mountains up there covered with snow...
never been to such place & wld always luv to be there if some people come along...
in the industry am in, if you travel so much in a year you are considered non-performer!!! :-)
I don't buy it i'm still jealous...;) I have done trekking in past so know wether I should buy ur theory or not.....:)
heck, I'm jealous! Seriously it looks like you know how to take a break. More people need to learn the benefits of spending time in the natural world around us!
Sumit, it is Gurgaon indeed.
Pooja, my top recommendation to you is Ladakh. Just go there once.
Prashant, good for you, really good for you. I like the concept of the mid year resolution.
Rajeev, you really have got me thinking. If facy my next post is coming from your and Prashant's comments.
Ganga, thank you.
L>T, you are so lucky.
April, there is a cure for lealousy, just travel!
Mahesh, the gaon has nor acquired some city stuff too. Too many malls and too little parking.
Sathish, I know about the non-performer bit. But then why stop traveling for such trivial things :)
Tarun, I should be jealous, you have lived in Uttranchal!
Tracey, you are going to New Zealand! You have no right to be jealous of anyone and prior to that you were in Austria! Thinking of India sometime?
Lovely photos! Specially liked the one with the sunset behind the tree line atop the hill.
I'm always thinking of India! Sometime in the next few years...I promise and I'll come find you too!
Anu thanks.
Tracy, it would be fun to meet you whenever you come this way.
thank u
Prashant, your HKD pictures are fabulous, do you plan to blog more regularly?
