I can Understand Why Bangalore was Called the Garden City

I have been for a few days in Bangalore and I clicked all the lovely flowers, a few coconut trees and a faboulous sunset around the housing complex I am staying. It has been raining on and often and flowers seem to just grow out of their own free will.

Though Bangalore in general has been changing , so much traffic, narrow roads, pollution and washed away roads are the things that we had to negotiate if we went out of the house. I have uploaded a few of my pretty photographs only.

Sympathy White Lily (First Photo) and Small Yellow Flowers

Such a Small Rose Bud

Frangipani

Flowers, Tress and a Bit of Sky

Coconuts (above) and Yellow Hibiscus (below)

Beautiful pictures, mridula. Especially the sunset one. I am not a particular fan of the Bangalore city, but through your lens you do provide an alternate perspective.

i just read an aricle, maybe in the Wall Street Journal, maybe in the New York Times (I don't remember which, but those are the only two papers I read regularily, so it probably was one of them) about Bangalore, and it had beautiful pictures too - although yours are better!

Those are GORGEOUS, Mridula! My favorite was the Frangipani. I like the name, but also, I've never seen this flower before. I've heard of a frangrance that must come from that flower, but it's the first time I'm seeing it and I just love it! Thanks for sharing this great pics. That place looks amazing!

Wow--beautiful photographs! I really like the Frangipani, too. And I'm a sucker for a good sunset.

Do you live in Bangalore? Or are you just staying there for a while?

Really lovely pictures, Mridula. We know the frangipani as plumeria and the sympathy lily as a spathophyllum or peace lily (my dad used to own a plant nursery, so I have odd bits of plant knowledge stuck in my head), but by any name they're beautiful.

Lovely pictures, indeed! Liked the coconut shot ...reminded me of how we used to enjoy drinking the coconut water and then scoop & eat the insides as well. Sweet memories..:-)
