Beauty and Serenity in Paraty, Brazil
The gleaming bleached white churches softly glowed as the sun sank behind the emerald green mountains. The Pousada’s landscaping took on a jungle feel. It is most likely the same scene Portuguese settlers experienced over 300 years ago. Today the visitors still come from far away for the beauty and serenity of the Costa Verde.

Trastevere - The Heart of Rome
While Rome entices with its extraordinary monuments, Trastevere, one of its many distinct neighborhoods, captures the traveler's heart. Trastevere, which translates to "across the Tiber River", has its own flavor and it's the perfect place to glimpse a bit of the old world while still enjoying the lifestyle of today's Romans. Traversing the Spreewald
Although there are paths, footbridges and even a few roads that connect the larger islets, most people in Germany's Spreewald region still travel by rowboats or punts. Water transportation is not only practiced for the fun of tourists, but is still the only way of reaching some of the remote settlements. See aritcle

Lake Como Destination Guide
Like so much of Italy, Lake Como drips charm and romance. Visiting a Place Few Will Ever See
What brings anyone to Sakhalin? I came nominally because it was “on the way” to Taiwan from the Arctic port of Tiksi, but mostly because it was an island. Sakhalin certainly has plenty of trees. It’s not a heavily-populated island. 600 miles (1000 km) long, it has just over 600,000 residents. Most are pines. The most distinctive, though, are the larches – scraggly and solemn, with crooked horizontal branches just begging a vulture to perch. See article

Teaching English in Korea
Being a first time ESL teacher in a foreign country is all about flexibility. The training is ongoing, a daily workshop that will stretch your organisation and improvisation skills to the limits. The first few months are the hardest but day by day, it does get easier. Eventually you will inevitably begin to settle into some kind of rhythm and personal pedagogic system. See article
