Is there Travel Left for You This Summer?

Dear [fname],

We share your sadness. It's the middle of August and we too haven't taken enough vacations to really enjoy the summer. We are off to Cape Cod this weekend, and stretching it to a three-day trip. But we would have preferred last year's week in Norway, or another chance to visit Aquitaine in France, or Sardinia. Oh well. At least we can offer you some great travel reading and maybe some inspiration for a winter adventure!

Happy travels!

Taking your Smartphone Overseas

Everyone has a smartphone these days. Uploading pictures, updating statuses, tweeting, browsing the web, checking email, or using gps; people are on their phones all the time. But if you’re traveling abroad you might want to rethink using your smartphone.

Birding in the Falkland Islands.Birding in the Falkland Islands

I bird to travel and I travel to bird – it works both ways. Although I’m not what I would call a keen birder – I can’t hear a birdsong and tell you what species it’s coming from – I am observant and can usually figure out which end of the binoculars to look through.

Paul Shoul visits Bangkok and Pattaya Thailand and it loves him.
Thailand Love Me

Bangkok is sexy, undulating and hot. Wood huts bump up against rising skyscrapers posted with giant photographs of the king or uber cool Gucci girls, gazing upon a modern, traffic jammed cosmopolitan city, peppered with ancient golden temples.
