Biking in Fiji, motorcycling in Cambodia, beer drinking in Belgium, Berlin's wild nightlife, Amsterdam's museums and markets -- we've covered a lot of territory at GoNOMAD this month.

We sent two of our most intrepid writers to the Caribbean to check out the sun and fun, Kent St. John to Nevis, Queen of the Caribes, and Paul Shoul to her sister island, St. Kitts, and we sent GoNOMAD editor Max Hartshorne to New Zealand's North Island to cover the possum products industry, among other things.
We dispatched Sony Stark to cover a hot breaking news story -- Captain John Smith's voyage from London to Jamestown, Virginia in 1606 -- and we sent Cindy-Lou Dale undercover (in a rubber dress, no less) to the infamous KitKat Club and other hot nightspots in Berlin, where, she reports, just about anything goes.
Cindy-Lou has also entered the ranks of the GoNOMAD bloggers. Visit her blog, Travel Diva.
We also sent GoNOMAD Internet Cafe Manager Elizabeth Bagley to Amsterdam to cover the markets and museums.
David Brown reports on the many attractions in Belgium, expecially the beer. Brandon Follett and Amy Johnson rent a motorcycle for a trip through southern Cambodia. Rick and Chris Millikan continue their bicycle series with a piece from Fiji and Janelle Muntz Lassonde reports on diamond mining and frontier living in Yellowknife, Northwest Territory.
We also feature an excerpt from Matthew Fort's mouthwatering book Eating Up Italy: Voyages on a Vespa and a call for submissions from Cyndy Phillips for a book on intrepid solo women travelers.
And mark the date: Friday, April 6 , seven to nine p.m. We're having a wingding to celebrate the first anniversay of the opening of the GoNOMAD Internet Cafe. We'll have cocktails, food and good company. That's at 4A Sugarloaf Street, South Deerfield, Massachusetts, USA.

Berlin's Wild Nightlife: The Other Side of Midnight
What I love about Berlin is its unique and irrepressible ambience; one of acceptance and freedom, tolerance even; embracing all things decadent. There is an air of unpretentious-ness amongst Berliners who are open-minded and non-judgmental. As such the city is a magnet for non-conformists and creative minds drawn by the bizarre nightlife. |

Blogging From New Zealand
GoNOMAD Editor Max Hartshorne traveled to New Zealand's North Island and chronicled his trip in his blog ReadUpOnIt. He sailed on an America's cup vessel, explored a Maori museum, rode a wind-powered go-cart and took a surfing lesson. Then there was the jetboating and kayaking, not to mention the food... |

Nevis: The Queen of the Caribes
After a morning of exploring some of Nevis’s historic sites, we headed to the perfect place to let it sink in, The Golden Rock Plantation. Golden Rock is located 1000 feet above the sea and set on a 96-acre nature reserve. The plantation was built in 1801 as a sugar plantation, and many of the original buildings are still serving the Inn. |

The Voyage That Changed History: London to Jamestown, 1606
“There are many adventures to be had here, my lady!” proclaims the short-bearded gent dressed in a high standing collar and baggy short trousers.
He represents the send-off party for King James 1st bidding farewell to 104 brave soldiers including Captain John Smith - all destined for the New World. |

St. Kitts: Life is Good
I stopped by Turtle Beach and was sorry that I did not have the time to do a whole lot of nothing there. Palm trees line the beach. Monkeys walk up to the bar. Wilbur the giant pig signs autographs, and people rave about the food. “Best Lobster on the Island” was a common reference. |

Belgium: The Home of Real Beer
A lot of people can’t think of a good reason to go to Belgium. But those who do make the effort to explore the country discover a country at once ancient and surprisingly cutting edge, and one with a very unique drawcard for the jaded traveler. In a word, beer. And if you always thought that beer was more a reason to sit at home with the telly on than it was to travel – think again! |

Yellowknife, Canada: Diamonds in the Rough
Just 318 miles south of the Arctic Circle, where temperatures average -18°F in January and mosquitoes pack the summer air, some 20,000 sturdy folk call Yellowknife home. The rugged climate percolates straight into the city’s psyche, breeding a spirit of self-sufficiency -- an I’ll-do-it-my-own-way attitude toward life. |

Motorcycling in Cambodia: The Honda Dream
In most industrialized countries, motorists only need to be concerned with scared cats, lost dogs or suicidal squirrels. In Cambodia, the roads are a long, winding, petting zoo. A motorist must be prepared to swerve, slow to a crawl, or completely stop for goats, pigs, cows, water buffalo, and elephants. |

Biking in Fiji: A Spin ‘Round Historic Levuka
Exotic greenery mingles with one-story pastel painted schools, an open market and a row of shops. In Levuka’s center stands Sacred Heart Church. Atop its stone tower, neon lighting forms a green cross, beckoning to ships at sea. The distinctive French clock has gonged village time hourly since 1858. |
