Esha Samajpati: Hikes, Bikes and Walking Tours
Esha's first submission to GoNOMAD was about her hike to Gertrude's Nose in the Shawangunk Mountains of New York State with her husband, photographer Pinaki Chakraborty.
We loved the story and photos, and since then Esha and Pinaki have done stories about many of their trips along the East Coast from Assateague Island all the way to Magnificent Maine.
The writing and the photography are crisp and clear and the stories give the reader lots of ideas for weekend and day trips to inviting destinations.
Esha worked in advertising in Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay), India, before moving to Connecticut.
"Even now, when I visit a city, the billboards draw my attention," she says. "How a city advertises tells me a lot about the place and the people."
Pinaki is a software systems consultant by profession and is passionate about photography.
Besides GoNOMAD, Esha has been published in Bootsnall and destinationsnewengland.com. She writes a blog called The Business of Advertising and a travel blog called Miles to Go. She can be reached by email.
"I enjoy writing for GoNOMAD," she says, "my favorites being the hiking trips that I take with my husband every other weekend. Every so often, I like taking road trips to discover little-known quaint towns along the East Coast."
