Introducing the GoNOMAD Cafe!
A New Internet Cafe for South Deerfield
By Max Hartshorne
GoNOMAD Editor/Owner
Be sure to visit GoNOMAD's Internet cafe at 4A Sugarloaf Street, South Deerfield, Massachusetts. The cafe offers FREE WiFi and computers you can use to check email, surf the web or play games.
GoNOMAD's Dell computers have high-speed wireless Internet connections, and software for email, word processing, games and other applications.
The cafe serves gourmet coffee, cappuccino, espresso, lattes, custom flavored designer teas, natural juices, pastries, cakes, breads, and bagels from local suppliers. They also have a wide variety of sandwiches and wraps: mozzarella-pesto, turkey-bacon, breakfast sandwiches, and many more. You can have your sandwich on locally baked multi-grain bread, foccacia or ciabatta.
Another popular offering is our fruit smoothies.
The GoNOMAD Cafe brings the community to our door, and
we offer a full range of services that will make a wireless internet experience possible for anyone. We can also design your website or help you optimize your website for better search engine positioning. We're all about the 'Net and can help you with all sorts of Internet related projects.
Why Is It Free?
You might ask, why would we open a cafe and offer the Wi-Fi for free? Because we believe that the 'Net should be free, and that someday, wireless connectivity will be part of the infrastructure, like water, sewer and phone lines.
We will be offering a high speed wireless Internet service to our community, and we want to tell our neighbors about this, which will be better than anything now available from the phone or cable companies.
To use our computers the cost is $6 an hour; there are charges for extras like printing and faxing.
We hope that the people who come in to check email will want to sample our cappuccino and buy sandwiches and pastries. We think that's a fair bargain.
If you live in the Pioneer Valley, we hope you'll come and have a coffee with us and check out this neighborhood center.

DEERFIELD - Sandwiched between the pickle company, the insurance agency, the family restaurant and the filling station that has operated since 1912, Max Hartshorne found the perfect spot for an Internet cafe in the village of South Deerfield.

GoNOMAD is opening up a WiFi Cafe
I think this is a great idea and if every online travel community opened up a brick and mortar place to visit, that'd be awesome. BootsnAll has been opening their doors to travelers for several years now, so it's just awesome that GoNomad is jumping on board, too. The GoNOMAD cafe will offer travelers hi speed internet access and laptops so they can check their email and such. This is part of a movement the GoNomad team is taking on to make their community entirely WiFi.
