TSA and Behavioral Profiling
Not long ago I flew El Al airlines from Newark to Tel Aviv. El Al is the only airline to have anti missile systems. While on the check in line I was approached by some friendly guys working for El Al for a chat. It is the airlines first line of security and it is called “behavioral profiling.” It is now apart of the TSA’s newest approach to security and is already in play in Boston. The concept is that bad people have tendencies that are detectable. If it goes well it should be in place in all US airports. I only hope that some of my bad habits don’t show!

I've read some time ago about an Israeli start-up that developed an electronic device that can unveil bad intensions. It consists of a hand scanner and a screen where keywords appear. A person is holding a hand on the scanner while keywords are displayed.
The scanner detects multiple parameters that a human cannot control, such as temperature, pressure, etc. For some reason, I don't remember an exact explanation, they can be measured ona hand very precisely...
So they keywords displayed on the screen are associated directly or indirectly with the terrorism. The main idea is that when a terrorist sees, say, the word "plot" or "instruction" or whatsoever, he behaves differently than a normal person. The machine catches this difference and makes an alarm.
It's interesting, what if a person is a reporter who writes about terrorism and is traveling to an anti-terrorist conference and therefore perceipts all these keywords in the terror context?
