What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's an easy way to receive updates from your favorite sites like GoNOMAD. Subscribing to RSS feeds brings headlines and summaries to you in one easy-to-find place. Clicking on a link takes you to the full story.

How do I subscribe to an RSS feed?

  • Install a news reader (or aggregator) that shows the RSS feeds you've subscribed to.

Using your news reader, you can see all the headlines from your favorite Web sites. Commonly used news readers include Bloglines and NewsGator. Go to Wikipedia for an extensive list of news readers.

MyYahoo! and Personalized Google homepage users can add RSS feeds to their personal page (see below).

Add feeds by clicking the orange RSS button  next to the feed.

Depending on the service you're using, you may need to manually copy and paste the URL that appears when you click the orange button. If you click an RSS link but do not have a reader installed, you will see XML code in your browser.
